To assist residents in preparing for the 2020 hurricane season, the Neighborhood and Community Services Department is encouraging residents to take part in Amnesty Days for vegetation and bulk trash collections. The program is provided at no additional cost to all Delray beach residents.

Today, Delray Beach‘s City Commissioners met and voted to move forward with the termination of City Manager, George Gretsas. The decision came as a result of an ongoing investigation into allegations, filed by two city employees, involving bullying and intimidation of staff on the part of Gretsas.

Public and private beaches in Palm Beach County will reopen on Monday, May 18, 2020. The City of Delray Beach will begin a phased reopening of its municipal beach as well as its adjacent park on Monday, May 18, 2020. The municipal beach and Atlantic Dunes Park will be open from 9am to 6pm every day.

Today, Governor Ron Desantis signed Executive Order 20-120 , which will be effective May 11, 2020. The order brings Palm Beach County in line with other areas in Florida and will bring some changes to the City of Delray Beach.
