Know your flood risk:

• Understand your Base Flood Elevation (BFE) and how it affects your property.
• Consider flood insurance—even outside high-risk zones.

Know your Flood Zone:

Call (561) 243-7200 for access to FEMA's Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM), to learn:

• If a property is in a Special Flood Hazard Area.
• If you are required to carry flood insurance.
• If it may be affected by coastal erosion and or sea level rise.
• If it is in an area that has experienced historic flooding or has been flooded repeatedly.
• See if an Elevation Certificate is on file for a property.

Protect your property:

• Elevate HVAC and electrical systems
• Install flood vents and check valves.
• Use permeable pavers and rain gardens to reduce runoff.
