Lieutenant Stephanie Baker began her career with the Delray Beach Police Department in October of 2005. Prior to becoming a Delray Beach Police Officer, she was a 911/Police and Fire Dispatcher for the City of Lake Worth. She has served in various positions throughout the Delray Beach Police organization. They include: Field Training Officer, Crisis Response Team, Intermediate Gang Specialist, Violent Crimes Detective, Training Officer, Lead Defensive Tactic Instructor, Master Police Officer, Internal Affairs Sergeant, and Wellness Committee Team Leader.  Lieutenant Baker was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2023 and promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 2026. She currently serves as a Community Patrol Watch Commander. Lieutenant Baker attended the University of North Texas and Palm Beach State College. 

Her professional affiliations include National Internal Affairs Investigators, International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers, Florida Police Accreditation Coalition, International Associate of Chiefs of Police Women’s Leadership Institute, and Florida Gang Investigator Association. Lieutenant Baker has been a certified Ladies F.I.R.S.T Women’s Self Defense Instructor since 2014.
