Lieutenant Casey Kelly began his career with the Delray Beach Police Department in 2013. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2020, and then to Lieutenant in 2025. He is currently the Internal Affairs Section Commander. His past assignments include Community Patrol, the Problem Oriented Police Unit, and the Crimes Against Persons Unit. As a Sergeant he was again assigned to Community Patrol, followed by the Criminal Intelligence Unit and then the Crimes Against Persons Unit. He is a former Team Leader for the department’s S.W.A.T. Team, where he served for 10 years.

Lieutenant Kelly has played an active role in mentoring the youth in the City of Delray Beach. He served as a Police Explorer Advisor and youth basketball coach at Pompey Park.

He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice.
