Get Flood Insurance
The City is a participant in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This program allows property owners and renters to purchase flood insurance for their building and/or its contents. Call your insurance agent today, go to www.floodsmart.gov, or call (888) 379-9531 to find out more about protecting your property from rising waters. You should consider the purchase of flood insurance whether your property is in a Special Flood Hazard Area or not.
If you currently have insurance, review your policy. Ensure you’re adequately covered and understand exclusions. If you need advice on flood insurance, you can call the City’s Building department at (561) 243-7200.
Find out if you live in a flood zone using the Flood Zone Determination Tool.
