The Delray Beach Emergency Management Department conducts community education and outreach initiatives designed to strengthen relationships, build trust, and enhance public safety throughout the City. Through educational programs, public events, and direct engagement, the Department promotes awareness of fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and health and safety practices.

These efforts equip residents with the knowledge and resources necessary to respond effectively to emergencies and to reduce risks in their daily lives. By maintaining strong connections with the community, the Department fosters transparency, supports vulnerable populations, and reinforces the principle that public safety is a shared responsibility.

Delray Beach Emergency Management takes pride in its active involvement with the community, offering a wide range of programs tailored to the needs of the residents it serves.

Community Education and Presentation Outreach

The Emergency Management Department is committed to providing effective fire and life safety education while promoting safer homes, workplaces, and communities. Our programs offer a hands-on approach designed to engage participants of all ages, including children, adults, seniors, and community groups.

To request Emergency Management Public Education Services, please complete the School Fire Safety Presentation/Visit Community Event. All events, with the exception of Home Safety Surveys, must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance to allow adequate time for planning and coordination.

Presentations provided by the Emergency Management Department are available Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 3 PM.

For presentation requests outside of these available times, please contact the Community Resilience Manager, Tyeisha Darrisaw, to discuss availability and scheduling options.
