Take a Class with Sofia

Sofia Vidal is a Peruvian ceramic artist and educator based in South Florida. Her work blends handbuilding, nerikomi, and slip casting, often drawing on textile-like patterns and a strong sense of design shaped by her background in product design. She approaches clay with a balance of careful planning and openness to its natural unpredictability. 

Her practice has been shaped by international study and exchange, including a master’s degree in ceramics in Japan, a fellowship at the Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute in Jingdezhen, China, and participation in the International Porcelain Symposium in the Czech Republic.
