Take a Class with Anita


Anita Lovitt graduated from Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts) with top honors and a degree in Illustration. 

She also studied with some legendary teachers (design with Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts in New York, watercolor with Charles Reid in workshops, and anatomy with Robert Beverly Hale at the Art Students League in New York City). Her award-winning illustrations, paintings, and designs have appeared in children’s books, greeting cards, surface designs, and graphic design. In 2006, Anita worked with a team of counselors to produce a series of illustrative legacy quilts for Project Hope to document the impacts of Hurricane Wilma on local communities.  Anita has served as a member of the Public Art Advisory Board of Delray Beach and is the creator of the original Dancing Pineapples Mural, which graced the entrance to Pineapple Grove in downtown Delray Beach for thirteen years.  Her work is in numerous private and public collections.  

Ms. Lovitt has taught drawing and painting for many years and is also a talented digital artist.  Her favorite medium is watercolor. She is a gifted teacher with a keen understanding of how language and image work together. She is currently serving as a member of the Public Art Advisory Board of Delray Beach.
