City of Delray Beach to Celebrate Grand Opening of Fire Station 113 with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Post Date:07/10/2025 9:45 AM

The City of Delray Beach proudly announces the grand opening of Fire Station 113 and invites the community to attend a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 651 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach.

This long-anticipated event marks the unveiling of a modern, state-of-the-art public safety facility that enhances emergency response capabilities and reflects the City's investment in its infrastructure, first responders, and community safety.

“This project represents years of thoughtful planning and coordination,” said Missie Barletto, Director of Public Works. “From initial design to final construction, it’s been a team effort focused on building a fire station that is efficient, resilient, and ready to serve Delray Beach for decades to come.”

The celebration will include a parade of fire apparatus from the old fire station, followed by a formal raising of the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Delray Beach Fire Rescue and Police Honor Guards. Attendees will hear remarks from City leadership, including Mayor Tom Carney, City Manager Terrence Moore, and Fire Chief Ronald Martin.

"We are honored to open this vital facility and share this milestone with the community it serves," said Fire Chief Ronald Martin. "This firehouse represents our commitment to safety, service, and progress."

Ceremonial highlights:

  • Official hose uncoupling ceremony symbolizing the opening of the station
  • Historic “push-in” of the fire engine into the station bay, accompanied by the Palm Beach County Firefighters Pipes and Drums
  • Public tours of the new station featuring educational exhibits, public safety displays, and refreshments

The new Fire Station 113 not only enhances the City's emergency response resources but also embodies the collaborative spirit and dedication of City staff, design and construction teams, and residents who supported the project from concept to completion.

*Parking will be limited. We recommend parking in the adjacent parking lot located at 571 Linton Blvd, Delray Beach.
