2025FINALIST_Delray BeachDelray Beach, FL — The City of Delray Beach is proud to announce that it has been named one of 20 finalists for the prestigious 2025 All-America City Award, presented by the National Civic League. This year’s theme—“Strengthening Environmental Sustainability through Inclusive Community Engagement”—highlights cities that are using equitable, community-driven strategies to protect the environment and build more resilient communities.

“Communities thrive when all residents have a voice in the policies and decisions that shape their lives. This year’s finalists are leading the way by removing barriers to participation and implementing programs that foster sustainability, resilience, and inclusive engagement,” said Doug Linkhart, President of the National Civic League.

Delray Beach earned its spot among the nation’s top communities thanks to innovative initiatives that prioritize environmental stewardship, collaboration across sectors, and meaningful community involvement. The city's ongoing efforts in coastal resilience, sustainable development, and civic inclusion have demonstrated how local governments and residents can work together to achieve real, lasting change.

The city is a three-time All-America City winner, having earned the award previously in 1993, 2001, and 2017. Being named a finalist again in 2025 reinforces Delray Beach’s long-standing commitment to community-driven problem-solving and civic excellence.

“Being named a finalist for the All-America City Award is a tremendous honor that reflects the spirit, resilience, and unity of Delray Beach,” said Mayor Tom Carney. “Our community has come together to create innovative, sustainable solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives. This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our residents, city staff, and partners who are committed to building a brighter, more inclusive future for all.”
