On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Delray Beach police responded to a fatal pedestrian crash at 2000 S. Ocean Blvd. A 71-year-old woman was struck by two vehicles, one traveling northbound, and the other southbound, while she was stopped between both travel lanes. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both drivers immediately stopped at the scene and cooperated fully with law enforcement. S. Ocean Blvd was closed in both directions for several hours.
