The City of Delray Beach is thrilled to announce the launch of its Citizens’ Academy! This interactive program is designed to give residents and business owners an in-depth look at how our city departments and employees work together to maintain a high quality of life in our beloved Village by the Sea.
This free program, beginning on October 18, consists of five three-hour sessions, taking place every Friday evening, from 6 – 9 p.m. A special Graduation Presentation will commence, during the November 19 Delray Beach City Commission Meeting, in city hall chambers.
“We look forward to giving residents and business owners an insider’s look at how our local government runs and introducing them to the various city leaders,” said City Manager Terrence Moore. “I believe our Citizens’ Academy will benefit both participants and the city by building trust, educating attendees, and providing city leaders with valuable feedback from our stakeholders.”
Registration for the Fall 2024 Class opens August 1 and closes September 3, 2024. It is limited to 25 participants and is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to register.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and either reside, or own a business, within city limits. Age verification, and proof of residency, or business ownership, are required. Participants are responsible for their transportation to various locations.
