Delray Beach has been voted the #1 Best Beach in Florida by the esteemed USA TODAY 10Best 2024 Readers' Choice Awards. This announcement highlights the exceptional qualities that make Delray Beach a standout destination.

Nestled in southern Palm Beach County, Delray Beach boasts a stunning municipal beach that spans approximately two miles and attracts around 3.2 million visitors annually. The beach's pristine condition and commitment to environmental excellence are evident as it received the prestigious Blue Flag Award for the second consecutive year earlier this month.

“Our award-winning beach attracts so many visitors, protects us from hurricanes and tropical storms, and is home to an abundance of native plants and animals,” said City Manager Terrence Moore. “We are privileged to have such a beautiful beach and it is an honor to be voted the #1 Best Beach in Florida, in the USA TODAY 10Best 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards.”

The USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards are digital contests, in which travel experts select the top 20 nominees in categories covering everything from food and lodging to destinations and things to do. Readers make the final decision by casting their votes.
