Opportunities to serve on the Community Redevelopment Agency Board
Opportunities exist for citizen volunteers to work in harmony with the government by serving on Advisory Boards. The City of Delray Beach has 18 active Advisory Boards and Committees, each set up to perform specific functions. All positions are voluntary, and members are not compensated for their time. However, the individuals who serve on Advisory Boards and Committees provide an invaluable service to the City. Their advice and expertise on a wide range of topics assist the City Commission in its decision-making process. It is this effective involvement of residents in all aspects of community life that has made Delray Beach an All-America City. Applicants are always welcomed, and the City encourages residents/business owners of the City of Delray Beach to submit applications for all boards of interest regardless of vacancies.
Currently there are vacancies on the Community Redevelopment Agency Board (CRA). The purpose of the CRA is to revitalize the physical environment and the economy of a defined geographic area known as the redevelopment area. The CRA is a public body created in accordance with the State of Florida statutes. Meetings are held on the fourth (4) Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
A link to the Advisory Board and Committee application is located at delraybeachfl.gov/government/boards-and-committees. Any questions or concerns, please contact Marianne Rodriguez at email@example.com or 561-243-7056. The deadline for submitting an application is Saturday, May 23, 2020.
