City Plan Focuses on Improvements to Osceola Park Neighborhood
Residents of the Osceola Park neighborhood are invited to attend a public meeting on the evening of August 26 to learn more about the 2019 Redevelopment Plan. Created with input from the community, the plan’s focus is to enhance the neighborhood’s identity while staying true to its historic and artistic character.
Time: 6 p.m.
Date: Monday, August 26, 2019
Location: Swinton Operations Center, 434 South Swinton Ave., Delray Beach
Embracing Osceola Park’s artistic identity and building on its resident-driven beautification efforts, the plan incorporates more opportunities for public art and streetscape improvements. The plan also calls for the addition of more public gathering spaces, improving transitions between residential and commercial areas and strategies for attracting businesses that better serve the neighborhood’s needs.
Stormwater management techniques, which prevent flooding, and home improvement grants to increase energy efficiency are also priorities within the proposal.
Representatives from the City of Delray Beach’s Development Services Department will be on hand to discuss the plan’s goals, implementation, and benefits.
