City of Delray Beach Launches Free Parking Wednesdays in Downtown Delray Beach This Summer

Post Date:05/21/2026 9:01 AM

The Delray Beach City Commission has approved "Free Parking Wednesdays" throughout the summer, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy Downtown Delray Beach without paying for parking in City-owned garages and surface lots.

Beginning June 3 through August 26, parking will be free every Wednesday, all day and all night, at the City’s downtown parking facilities.

The program includes free parking at the Old School Square, Federspiel, and IPIC garages, as well as the Roy M. Simon, Village, Gladiola, Veterans Park, and Banker’s Row surface lots.

“This program is a great way to support our local businesses and encourage residents and visitors to spend more time enjoying Downtown Delray Beach during the summer months,” said Mayor Tom Carney. “Whether you’re dining, shopping, or meeting with family and friends, we want to make it easier and more convenient for everyone to experience everything Delray Beach has to offer.”

Free Parking Wednesdays are intended to support the downtown economy while providing added value and accessibility during the summer season.

Please note that on-street parking and privately owned parking lots are not included in the program.
