The Delray Beach Police Department is inviting motivated individuals to explore a career in law enforcement at its upcoming Recruitment Open House on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at the Seacrest Training Center, located at 2350 Seacrest Blvd., in Delray Beach.
Designed for those interested in becoming a Delray Beach Police Officer, the open house offers a unique opportunity to learn about the profession, connect with department personnel, and take meaningful steps in the hiring process.
“This is more than a hiring event. It is an opportunity to answer the call to serve,” said Chief Darrell Hunter. “We are looking for individuals who value integrity, professionalism, and community, and who are ready to make a difference in the lives of others.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with department members, speak directly with training officers and recruiters, and learn about competitive salaries, benefits, career advancement opportunities, and specialized units within the department. Representatives will also provide guidance on the hiring process and assist candidates with completing their applications.
In addition to informational resources, participants will have access to several on-site opportunities designed to accelerate the hiring process. These include interview preparation, on-site notary services, and the opportunity to complete the Physical Agility Test (PAT). Candidates who wish to complete the PAT must bring a completed Medical Clearance Form signed by a physician.
Limited on-the-spot oral board interview slots may also be available, allowing qualified candidates to complete multiple steps of the hiring process in a single day.
