Project Information

In May 2022, the City conducted a Structural Condition Assessment (SCA) on the Atlantic Avenue Main Beach Pavilion. The purpose of the assessment was to provide a condition assessment of the existing pavilion’s structural system and connections and determine the scope of improvements necessary to meet Florida Building Code (FBC) load requirements. Based on the observations and the structural analysis, the SCA report concluded that the pavilion was in poor condition and is in need of repairs. This project proposes to disassemble the existing pavilion structure down to the foundation, reconstruct the pavilion with steel columns, new standing metal roofing, new electrical components, and restore the landscaping and irrigation surrounding the pavilion.
