Delray Beach Parks and Recreation is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers of all experiences to assist in our special events. Some events we need volunteers for include the 100 Ft. Christmas Tree, Kidsfest Halloween Event, Beach Cleanups, Springfest and more.

The volunteer program is open to everyone ages 14 through adult. Service hours will be awarded for students. Beach cleanup are open to all ages, with adult supervision.

Three easy steps to volunteer

1. Fill out a volunteer application.
   Visit DelrayBeachFLgov.VolunteerLocal.com/volunteer/ and fill out the "Volunteer Application" at the bottom of the page. People ages 14 to 17 will require adult signature on the waiver.
2. Submit your background check.
   For those 18 years and older, submit your background check. Just click the link: cityofdelraybeach.quickapp.pro/ and provide your details. There's no cost to you, and the process should take about 2 weeks (17 and under can skip this step). Beach cleanups do not require a background check.
3. Sign up for an event.
   After your background check is approved, we will let you know, you can sign up to volunteer for an event. Visit DelrayBeachFLgov.VolunteerLocal.com/volunteer/ to find our current events.

Youth Athletics

Volunteers may help out with our Youth Athletics Program that takes place throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to be coaches for youth basketball, track & field, youth football, cheerleading, and tee ball.
