ColorWorks
The Creative Arts School and the Palm Beach Watercolor Society are proud to present the exhibition ColorWorks, on view from January 13th through March 28st. This vibrant show features 56 paintings in watercolor and acrylic. This free public exhibition presents a cohesive group of talented artists coming together to display their work. The featured artists include skilled watercolorists and acrylic painters, each bringing distinctive styles and techniques.
From watercolor landscapes and floral subjects that capture nature’s delicate beauty with fluidity and transparency to the acrylic abstract expressionist styles using bold colors and dynamic forms to evoke emotion and movement, the choice to paint primarily in water media highlights the versatility and expressive potential of these materials. Watercolor allows for subtle washes and softness, lending itself well to the depiction of natural scenes, while acrylics offer vibrancy and texture that enhance the abstract works.
Together, these mediums enrich the exhibit by creating a diverse visual and emotional experience. Creativity is at the core of this group’s artistic practice. Each member brings a unique vision and approach, contributing to the richness of the exhibition. The show not only reflects individual artistic journeys but also fosters a sense of community among the artists, all of whom share a passion for exploring and pushing the boundaries of their chosen medium.
